[ Welcome Message ]
Welcome to the 16th International Conference on Atmospheric Electricity (ICAE2018), the world's largest event devoted to the science of atmospheric electricity. Following the successful ICAE2014 (http://icae2014.nwc.ou.edu/) in USA, ICAE2018 provides a platform for researchers from all over the world to present discoveries, exchange ideas, reacquaint with colleagues and make new friends.
ICAE2018 will take place in Nara, Japan's first permanent capital established in the year 710. It is full of historic treasures, including some of Japan's oldest and largest temples, such as Todaiji Temple, the world's largest wooden building. In Nara, you may also see large numbers of deer, chasing you for "deer-crackers". Nara is about one and a half hour driving distance from Kansai International Airport. The airport limousine bus provides a convenient access to Nara. From Nara, if you like, you can have day trip to Kyoto and Osaka easily. We hope you will enjoy the conference, and have fun by visiting these ancient and modern cities of Japan.
